In our highly technological, post-industrial society increasing numbers of people are returning to 'real' craftsmanship. Hence dedicated craftsmen, working according to centuries-old traditions, are very highly valued and not always easy to find. In this richly illustrated book some twenty carefully selected craftsmen are introduced from many fields including cabinetmakers, metalworkers, upholsterers, painters, lighting specialists, builders and marquetry specialists.
