Christine Manfield is one of Australia's most celebrated chefs as well as an author, food writer, food manufacturer, presenter and teacher. After honing her skills at Paragon at Circular Quay and the Phoenix in Woollahra, from 1993 to 2000 she operated the Paramount Restaurant in Sydney, which established her international reputation and was regarded as one of the finest in Australia by critics and the dining public. In 2003 Christine opened East@West in Covent Garden, London, to instant critical acclaim. Following its closure in 2005 Christine returned to Sydney, where she continues to expand her food interests.
