Peppy and Virginny in Lapinoland
Author(s): Herge
Herge is known worldwide for his plucky, globetrotting and strikingly quiffed hero Tintin. Yet before this he created a number of less well-known characters, the loopiest of which is surely Peppy and Virginny. They were a couple of haberdashers who journey to the Wild West in search of new clientele; accompanied by their trusty horse, Bluebell, that ran into savage Indian tribes, evil bandits and more. The famous clear line style of Herge is evident here, combining with a freewheeling, farcical storyline and engaging animal characters.
