In this interactive journal, readers engage in a hodgepodge of activities, games, experiments, and fun, all the while unknowingly learning all about the world around them, and their place in it. Each page contains new and inventive instructions that focus on central National Geographic themes: culture, travel, maps, photography, science, and green initiatives. The mission of each task allows the reader to gain insight on their world, while the exciting, interesting, and sometimes downright quirky activities provide hours of entertainment. Examples include the following: Plant this Page! - Printed on paper embedded with flower seeds, so the reader rip it out, go outside, plant it and grow a garden. Wish I Was Here! - Postcards featuring photos of exotic places that readers can rip out and send to friends. Lose this page - Reader will be instructed to write a message, or wrap something small in the lost page, place in a plastic baggie and hide it somewhere in their town for someone else to find. Make a Statement - Rip out this page and write anything you want to tell the world. Post it in a public place. You, the survivor - pages contain tips and tricks to surviving in the wild. Make a drinking cup out of the page! Where I've Been - Page is a map that the reader can rip out and place push pins in all the places they've been. Where I'll Go - Another map where the reader can place push pins in, this time of places they'd like to go. Wish page - There's a drawing of a wishbone on a page, the reader and a friend rip it in half. Voodoo Doll page - exactly as it sounds. Ransom Note - page features different size letters (ala a ransom note), the reader cuts it out and sends an anonymous message to a friend. Dream Glossary/Diagnose your Dream - Simple symbols common in dreams, space for their reader to decode. CSI Page - the reader can keep a log of all their friend's finger prints.
