A 72 year-old grandmother decides to research her Family Tree only to discover a mystery with secret messages and information that simply doesn't make sense. She learns that her childhood companion, Granny Fitz, died 7 years before she was born. Was her friend really a ghost? Who was she? And what did she want? Soon I too become caught up in the mystery which falls into my lap at a time when my life had crashed in flames and I was homeless, penniless, jobless and friendless. Out of the blue I'm on a plane for New York on a romantic adventure while clues and answers appear when I least expect them. Then to Regency England, and northern Italy. As I write I share with readers the story as it unfolds, including some little known Aussie historical mysteries. Always there is a background of mystical occurrences which contribute to the mysterious nature of events.
