'I am an architect from the coast of Peru, a desert strip with unique characteristics due to the presence of the Humboldt cold water current in the ocean that creates an environment that is not too hot, not too cold and where it never rains.' Javier Artadi is emerging as the leading Latin American contemporary landscape architect for his work and ongoing research on the relationship between architecture and desert landscape of the Peruvian coast.
